JOB TITLE:

Senior Manager: Treasury Sales


JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a Senior Manager Treasury Sales at Cellulant, you will be a vital part of our mission to revolutionise digital payments across Africa. You will own a revenue budget and play a hands-on role in managing the day-to-day liquidity and FX. Your expertise in treasury sales, and relationships with banks / financing partners, and understanding of financial services, will be crucial to maintaining our financial health and supporting our growth across multiple markets.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales and Business Development

  • Develop and execute sales strategy for the treasury business and grow FX revenues
  • Build and maintain relationships with banks and finance partners
  • FX partnership expansion
  • Provide treasury solutions to other business segments within the group

Product Knowledge and Expertise:

  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of treasury products and services, including foreign exchange, cash management, interest rate risk management, and trade finance
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor products, and regulatory changes affecting treasury services
  • Provide clients with market insights and strategic advice on treasury solutions

Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Work closely with the treasury trading team to ensure the accurate execution of client transactions
  • Collaborate with the sales team, and other internal stakeholders to deliver comprehensive financial solutions to clients
  • Ensure seamless coordination between sales and operations to enhance client experience

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure all sales activities comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with treasury products and services
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and transactions for audit and compliance purposes

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Track and report on sales performance, and revenue growth.
  • Analyse sales data and market feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and growth
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations to senior management on performance metrics

          QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

          Must have experience:

          • Knowledge of banking, treasury and payments products and processes
          • Thorough knowledge of African currency markets and regulatory frameworks
          • Strong communication skills and an ability to build and leverage cross-functional relationships

              Nice to have experience:

              • Treasury Management System
              • Accounting
              • Strong understanding of financial markets, and banking operations.

                Qualification:

                • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
                • Experience: 5-8 years of hands-on experience in treasury operations, back-office processing, or a related field preferably within the fintech industry

                Knowledge

                • Strong understanding of treasury functions, financial markets, and banking operations
                • Familiarity with African financial markets and regulatory frameworks
                • Knowledge of AML/CFT regulations and sanctions screening procedures

                    Skills:

                    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting.
                    • Experience with treasury management systems or enterprise resource planning (ERP) software is a plus
                    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
                    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
                    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
                    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
                    • Proactive, results-oriented, and adaptable to change
