JOB TITLE: Senior Product Partnerships Specialist

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Role Overview: As the Senior Product Partnerships Specialist , you will spearhead the identification, development, and launch of new payment products and services in collaboration with partners, enhancing the company’s offerings and competitive position in the market. You will also focus on managing and optimising relationships with third-party service providers, including banks, mobile network operators (MNOs), and payment processors, to ensure cost-effective partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and assess potential new partners to expand the company’s service offerings and market reach.
  • Identify new growth opportunities with existing partners as well as ensure that the current revenue is sustained.
  • In conjunction with relevant decision makers, ensure that contracts are negotiated with the right payment methods and costs to ensure profitability as the service is extended to downstream customers.
  • Regular review of contracts to ensure commercial appropriateness and continued sustainability
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align partnership strategies with company objectives, ensuring partners support product and service delivery requirements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key partners, acting as the main point of contact for all partnership-related matters.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to create go-to-market strategies and support product launches.
  • Onboarding Responsibilities:
    • Integrate significant mobile money wallets in Africa into the company’s payment network.
    • Establish every large bank in Africa as a payment method on our platform.
    • Incorporate all large agent networks into the company's ecosystem.
    • Connect all relevant international and local card schemes to the company's network.
  • The above involves negotiating terms, managing service level agreements (SLAs), coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring seamless integration to enhance service offerings and expand market reach.
  • Gather and incorporate feedback from customers and partners to continuously improve product offerings.
  • Continuously track and monitor new technological developments from our Partners to ensure we are keeping up with the changes that are useful and critical in enhancing our payouts and collections product offerings
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including senior management, team members, and external partners, about the product's progress, challenges, and strategic direction.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • At least 5 years of experience in partner or relationship management within the fintech, payments, or telecom sectors.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proven track record of managing and growing strategic partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of payment technologies, platforms, and regulatory environments.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Innovative thinker with a customer-centric approach to product development.
